Location Sound
Much of the specialized software we use to clean-up old vinyl and cassette recordings is also perfectly suited to de-noising location sound from film and video shoots, lectures, interviews, etc. So we are happy to be able to offer our restoration services in this market as well.
Common problems with location sound might include hiss, electrical buzzing (ground loops, etc.), traffic or other location-specific background noise. We can remove constant background noises (such as hiss and hum), as well as individual transient elements (such as a car horn, a cell phone, a door closing, etc.), leaving only the desired signal.
Removing these unwanted elements in post-production without adversely affecting the original dialog is a time-consuming process, even with the best possible software and components. But we are confident you will be surprised at the results we are able to achieve with even badly damaged recordings. And, as with all our services, no project is done until you are happy with it.
